Aberdeen Senior Citizens Center

The City recently constructed a new Senior Citizens Center with a grand opening April 21, 1995. The center offers lunch at noon daily at a reduced price. There are many planned activities and recreation at the center.

Aberdeen Room Archives and Museum

The Aberdeen room was incorporated on February 25, 1991, under the name of the Aberdeen Room Archives and Museum, Inc. Students, businesses and organizations use the facility for research for their projects and open houses are always a part of Aberdeen's many activities and celebrations.

Boys & Girls Club

This newly constructed building opened its doors December 1994 and currently serves an average of 130 youths daily. They have an active membership of 1,100 youths between the ages of 6 and 18. The club offers positive programs and activities building positive places for kids. 6 - 12 year old hours are 3:30 - 6:00 PM and 6:30 - 9:00 PM for 13 to 18 year old.

Festival Park

Corner of Franklin, Howard and Parke Streets

In 1990 the old school athletic field was renovated into a Festival Park with a pavilion used as an outdoor bandstand, playground area and beautiful landscaping that offers a refreshing atmosphere. The pavilion may be scheduled for use by contacting Mr. Craig Lamphear at the Department of Parks and Recreation, 410-939-6767.

Aberdeen Swim Club

This Olympic size swimming pool is open during the summer months and has a picnic area, volleyball court, planned activities through Harford Health & Fitness Club.

U.S. Army Ordnance Museum

Aberdeen Proving Ground, 410-278-3602

Collection of army artifacts dating from the American Revolution, including Gatling Gun, General Pershing's Locomobile and the German Railroad Gun. Open daily 10:00 AM to 4:45 PM; Admission is free.

Aberdeen Proving Ground Recreation and Community

The Golf Courses at Aberdeen Proving Ground are once again available to the public utilizing the day pass system. Visitors must enter thought the Route 715 gate from Route 40.
